Careers are deeply personal. They shape how we spend our time, how we see ourselves, and often how we imagine our future. Yet so many people move through their working lives feeling unsure, disconnected, or quietly overwhelmed, wondering if it is meant to feel this hard or this lonely. The Wild Dreams Community was created as a response to that feeling. A space where questions are welcomed, growth is encouraged, and support is not reserved for a select few. This blog offers a closer look at why the community exists, who it is for, and how it is designed to support people at every stage of their career journey.

  1. What inspired you to create the Wild Dreams Community?

I started my first business, Wild Dreams Hospitality, because I wanted to help people, and over the years, I have been able to evolve the way in which I help others. This has included things such as free advice on our websites, online masterclasses, whats app groups and in-person workshops – my vision has always been to help as many people as possible and this is not always easy to do in some of our services, for example helping one individual to find their dream job can be life-changing for them, or doing 1:1 coaching can transform my clients life, but what about the millions of other people who need support. This is what inspired me to brainstorm ways in which I could compile everything I am doing in one place and to invite as many people as possible. This is the why behind the Wild Dreams Community.

  1. Who is this community for, and why do you think people need it right now?

This community is for anyone who feels a bit lost within their career. It could be for someone who is about to enter the working world, which can be very daunting to someone who has been working for many years and has a career but feels like something is off. I feel like the need is always here. Apart from South Africa, where I am based and my company is based, having one of the highest unemployment rates in the world, people need support, not just related to the knowledge in successfully finding work, but having a support network can make a massive difference to a job seeker’s mindset. Additionally, there has been a major shift in how people view employment since the pandemic. People are more self-aware and know that it is possible to have the right balance of career and personal life. As my coaching is a holistic process, looking at all areas of my client’s future vision, I will cultivate the same outlook in the community.

  1. Can you describe what a typical member experience looks like?

For members, it will be a bit like having a career coach in your pocket! I will be running weekly Q&A so that members can ask questions to get personalized support. They will have exclusive access to our masterclasses, which range from mindset-based, such as an upcoming one we will present on burnout, to logistical help on Cvs and interviews. They will also have a community, although everyone will be in different situations – they can support each other.

  1. How do the masterclasses and Q&A sessions work?

I have always done masterclasses on various topics from career clarity to Cv advice – these will just now all be exclusively for our community. Typically, these are one-hour masterclasses where I go into detail on a specific topic and set action steps or reflections for attendees to implement what they learn or dive deeper into the teachings. With the Q&As, members will be prompted on a weekly basis to drop questions and thoughts, and I will be giving them my advice, which is not always a simple opinion piece, as coaching, after all, is about listening and then guiding my clients to their own decisions.

  1. What makes this community different from other online groups or coaching programs?

Great question, I actually don’t know of any communities quite like this. There are Facebook pages that coaches have that may allow Q&As and share coaching prompts or similar, but I have only heard of these either as part of a coach’s lead magnet into a coaching program (meaning they are open for a short period or have a sales motive) or a more general page which isnt as tailored to a topic. I am sure other similar concepts exist, but also only after an investment, which this currently isn’t.

  1. What are some of the most common questions or challenges you help members navigate?

This really varies, but common topics that come up are around how to make career-related decisions, challenges around their careers, such as navigating toxic work environments, leadership and management guidance, career transition,s alongside a lot of technical questions around job applications, Cvs, and interviews.

  1. How do you keep the community grounded, practical, and focused on real growth?

The community is encouraged to be consistent. This is not easy to do when you are an individual, but this is one of the things that makes a community more powerful, as there is an automatic accountability factor.

  1. Why did you decide to make the community free, and what does that mean for people who join?

I actually considered this for a while, as I have experienced a lack of commitment at times in my free containers, but the community rewards engagement, and those who do engage will get the most out of this. As I mentioned in the first answer about my ”why”, this is always about helping others, and I want to be able to offer this to everyone who needs it.

  1. What advice would you give to someone who’s considering joining but feels unsure?

Join and see! There is no obligation to stay within the community, so come and check out the vibe, feel the support, and ultimately notice your growth.

  1. How does the community tie into the broader Wild Dreams philosophy and work you’re passionate about?

Wild Dreams is rooted in our core values of compassion & purpose. We strive to create a positive impact not just for our clients, but for the communities & environments around us. Our mission is to build meaningful relationships, nurture talent & inspire excellence, ensuring a brighter, more sustainable future for both conservation & communities. This is exactly what the community supports.

At its heart, the Wild Dreams Community is an extension of everything I believe about meaningful work and purposeful living. Growth does not happen in isolation, and clarity often comes through conversation, reflection, and feeling supported as you figure things out. This community is an open invitation to be part of something steady, compassionate, and practical. Whether you are searching for direction, navigating change, or simply wanting to feel less alone in your career journey, you are welcome here. Sometimes the most powerful step forward is choosing not to do it on your own.
